Cohort Spotlight: Rachael Kaminski

cohort spotlight: rachael kaminski

Meet Rachael Kaminski, Owner/Director of Confidence Beyond Hair Studio and our newest Cohort Spotlight for the Women’s Entrepreneurial Fellowship. After her own experience with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma back in 2017, she realized there was a need for accessible information about hair loss. This prompted her decision to open Confidence Beyond Hair in 2018. What started as a part-time job in her home, quickly became a full-time business venture focusing on wigs and hair toppers for individuals experiencing hair loss from a variety of different medical conditions.

We sat down with Rachael for a Q&A and an episode of the Happy Hour Hustle podcast to hear about the lessons she’s learned, what keeps her going, and where she’s headed next.

Here’s what Rachael had to say in our Q&A:

Q: What do you wish people understood about being a small business owner?

You are always working, thinking, brainstorming, and problem-solving. Your brain never turns off.

Q: Why did you apply to be a part of WEF?

I want to feel empowered and more organized. I would like a strong team that supports the mission.

Q: What makes your business unique?

There are very few who do what we do, and I truly think we are the best in the state.
