Monica Gauthier decided to go on a co-owning adventure with the Founder of Groovy Donuts, Andrew Gauthier, in June of 2015 leaving her career in Fisheries Biology and Management to Spread Joy in the world one donut at a time. As a dating couple at the time it was a huge risk and certainly was not one that most people understood.

Although Monica never intended to be an entrepreneur, she has found it thrilling, terrifying and rewarding. She is addicted to the joy that Groovy Donuts brings to her staff, her customers and her community.

Groovy Donuts has been serving award-winning, hand-crafted donuts and locally roasted coffee since 2015. Starting with a small location and a tiny kitchen in Williamston, Michigan, Groovy Donuts now has a 2nd location in East Lansing. Groovy frequently partners with many local businesses and organizations for special events and fun, unique collaborations (ex: Nutty Baker Imperial Stout Beer at Bad Brewing paired with the Nutty Baker Donut). Groovy Donuts proudly offers vegan donuts, gluten-free friendly donuts, a rotating specialty donut of the week, along with nearly endless customization options for birthdays, parties, meetings and other events.

In an effort to give back to the community, Groovy Donuts has donated thousands of dollars, tens of thousands of donuts and countless hours to support non-profit organizations throughout the Greater Lansing area.
