Before nurturing the Friendship Factory, Julie enjoyed a distinguished 30-year career in media and advertising. She served as a Vice President at Fox Broadcasting and prior at Lifetime Television, where she was instrumental in shaping promotions and strategy. Additionally, she worked as an Account Executive at Turner Broadcasting, collaborating with top-tier brands and media teams—experience that continues to influence how the Friendship Factory engages audiences and builds its brand.
Crafts, Inventions & Entrepreneurial Roots
Julie’s entrepreneurial journey is also deeply personal—rooted in the innovation of her father, David Crorey, who invented a line of award-winning craft kits including: the My Friendship Bracelet Maker, The Image Bracelet Maker, and My Ribbon Barrette Maker. These kits were showcased at New York Toy Fair and achieved national success, appearing as “best of” products on The View, Today Show, E! News and other media platforms. Julie appeared on QVC for years, helping these products sell out and capturing hearts across the country.
Inspired by watching her own children enjoy these creations, Julie recognized a gap—a need for a real-life creative studio for girls. Armed with her love for creativity, her father’s inventive products, and her heartfelt mission, she opened the first Friendship Factory, blending retail, crafts, and celebration into a single magical experience.
